About
I help founders turn hardware products into manufacturable, scalable businesses.
I am a product-to-production leader with 20+ years of executive and entrepreneurial experience guiding hardware products from early concept through factory ramp and mass production. I have owned the full NPI arc across consumer electronics, medical-adjacent devices, and industrial systems, working directly with CEOs and senior leadership to translate product vision into executable plans.
Across 60+ product launches and extensive time on factory floors worldwide, I have developed strong pattern recognition for where products fail early through decisions that quietly create cost overruns, schedule slips, and supplier dead ends.
I have also lived the founder experience firsthand, co-founding a hardware startup and taking a product from concept through prototyping and supplier engagement. That experience reshaped how I evaluate manufacturability, capital risk, and true readiness to proceed.
Today, through Lipner Consulting, I work with founders and executive teams at manufacturing inflection points where money is on the line. Many engage me for a structured, fixed-scope review to pressure-test designs, build credible RFPs, and identify suppliers that can scale from early prototypes through production. The outcome is a clear go-forward plan that protects capital, schedule, and credibility.
