Over the past few weeks, I’ve spent a lot of time reaching out directly to fractional founders, operators, and advisors across LinkedIn, Facebook, and private founder communities. The level of engagement and response has been far stronger than expected. Not because of clever messaging or aggressive outreach, but because the concept itself resonates.
Many of us are in the same place.
We’re Not Alone
The response to early outreach has reinforced something important. There is a large and growing group of experienced founders doing fractional, advisory, board, investment, and consulting work who feel underserved by traditional directories and marketplaces.
These conversations consistently point to the same themes:
Founders want to work with other founders who understand ownership, risk, and execution.
They want visibility without noise.
They want opportunities that respect their experience and time.
The engagement we’ve seen so far tells us that this need is real.
A Diverse and Experienced Community
One of the most exciting things to emerge during onboarding is just how diverse this group is.
Founders joining the network bring:
Experience across SaaS, fintech, ecommerce, services, healthcare, infrastructure, and more
A wide range of exits, from early acquisitions to large-scale outcomes
Current focus areas spanning fractional executive roles, advisory work, boards, investing, and selective consulting
There’s no single “profile” that defines a fractional founder. What connects this group is depth of experience and a shared understanding of what it takes to build and operate a business.
Willingness to Contribute and Build Together
Another early signal we didn’t take for granted is how willing members are to contribute beyond just listing a profile.
Founders joining early are actively:
Creating original content
Sharing insights from their own experiences
Promoting content from other fractional founders in the network
That level of participation matters. This directory only works if it reflects the real voices and experience of the people inside it. The early group understands that and has stepped up in a meaningful way.
What’s Next
We’re now close to closing off Founding Member onboarding as we prepare for launch. Founding Members are helping establish the quality, tone, and early growth of the network.
